Elm Grove WI – Weekend Studio Workshop – February 17th, 18th – 2024

“LEARN HOW TO MIX COLOR” All students need more help mixing color.  You can’t get to the next level without the basic principles of “mixing color” en-grained in your mind. “LEARN ALL THE CREATIVE TIPS &TOOLS NECESSARY TO CREATE A GREAT PAINTING IN THE STUDIO.”

“Cabin Fever? … COLD?………. get warmed up by learning all you need to know to create one or even two paintings from “Start to Finish” in 2 days.

I am pleased to announce a Weekend Studio Workshop in Elm Grove, at my Building, at 925 Elm Grove Road, Elm Grove Wisconsin 53122. The Building is centrally located for Students from Madison, Milwaukee, Illinois, and Appleton. freeways in all directions are nearby, and nice motels in the area.

Where:
925 Elm Grove Road, Elm Grove  WI  53122 Between Madison, Milwaukee, Northern Illinois, and Appleton. Great creative weekends during the miserable cold of Wisconsin – when “cabin fever” persists.

Class Description:
2 Two day workshops giving all the information needed to become a better painter, focusing on working from Photo Reference in the Studio. All photos furnished by well
known Painter / Instructor, Tom Nachreiner. This Creative Class will be relaxed and fun, as you make new friends during the process of learning more about painting. Learn to be more expressive with your brush work. Learn to follow safe , non toxic guidelines with your oils and pastels, especially indoors. Students can paint in traditional oil, like Tom, or water soluble oil, acrylic or pastel.

Bring  your own supplies, from my supply list that I will send you, once you sign up. I will be selling some supplies at the workshop if you need them, so bring some cash along.

Student Skill Level:
All levels are welcome. This is a great opportunity for beginners with some drawing ability, and an excellent opportunity for advanced students that want to improve.

Objectives:
Learn how to see as an artist. Learn what to focus on during the next years of your painting endeavors. Change bad habits and learn the power of positive thinking, smart
planning , and  learn a new pattern for success.

Structure:
Class will start each day at 9:00 am, but school will open at 8:00 if you want an early start. Class will end each day at 4:00, with lunch from 12-1:00. Tom will do a demonstration from 9-12 each day with a break at 10:30. Students will paint from 1-4 each day. Tom will furnish all Photos.

Cost: – $225

Students can do two paintings like me or work on the same painting both days, and finish one.
